I'm Still Alive!

I haven't updated this in a while, but I don't think many people read it anyway. This is mostly for me and for documenting purposes! Anyway, I weighed a couple times within the last couple of weeks or so. I gained a little bit during the time I didn't weight...aka the time of us moving and having nowhere to cook/nothing to cook with! It's ok, though. I lost those pounds quickly!

I gained 5.7 lbs...but I lost 6 during the week after I weighed and found out I gained those 5.7 lbs. I'm disappointed I gained at all, but I'm overjoyed I lost it all and a little extra after! So...that brings me to a total of 32.4 lbs lost! Not as much as I'd hoped for by now, but much better than gaining! I'm not weighing again until Sunday morning, to get myself on track with my weigh day! I will say we have been hitting our gym, and I have been sweating like a maniac on the elliptical!

Vance has been doing pretty well, too. He gained a little, but not very much. Irritating, to say the least! He didn't lose as much as I did, though, and isn't quite caught up to where he was before we moved. I think he's only like 0.3 lbs away though!

Weigh Day 6/3/12

I know I've used this excuse a lot lately...but...I've been busy!!! Vance and I continued losing weight this last week. It wasn't as much as I'd liked, but it was progress! I lost 0.9 lbs, bringing me to 32.2 lbs gone! Vance lost 0.2 lbs bringing him to 24 lbs gone!

We didn't eat as well, nor did we work out as much. I also was on my period, so of course, I retained water, was bloated, wanted salty foods and sweets, etc. the whole week. Overall, I did pretty well, and the scale showed some improvement! I'd love to lose 2 lbs this week, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it! I have the rest of today and this week to make it happen, though! I guess that means it's time to get off of here and go do a quick kick boxing routine!

Weigh-Day 5-27-12

Yes. I know. This post is a couple of days late, but c'mon! I've been super busy!

This past week, I worked out everyday, ate really well, and drank a TON of water. (I'm trying so hard to cut out diet soda!) From last Tuesday's weigh-in until Sunday morning, I lost 3.3 lbs! That brings me to a grand total of 31.3 lbs lost in 10 weeks! I am ecstatic! People are really noticing the way my body has changed! One of my managers at Old Navy commented on it. My younger cousins commented on it at the pool yesterday. I've had customers tell me they can see a difference. It's pretty fantastic! I'm hoping to lose another 10-20 lbs by July 14th, which is my cousin's wedding. That would mean that I'd weigh less at HER wedding than I did at my own! Crazy, but awesome!

Vance lost 2.4lbs during that same time period! That means he's lost 23.8 lbs total! I am so proud of him! He's eating well and working out some, too! It is really evident in his belly that he's lost weight, but it's VERY evident in his clothing sizes. He's gone down 2 pant sizes. Thankfully we had a few reserves in the smaller sizes for him, or he'd be lacking in the clothing department!

Weigh Day 5-19-12

So...I didn't weigh this weekend because I was bloated/retaining water due to too high sodium intake. SOOO I weighed this morning! I lost 1.6 lbs this "week." Vance lost 0.5 lbs. That brings me to 28 lbs lost and Vance to 21.4 lbs lost! I am so so proud of Vance...and myself! I'm hoping to lose 40 lbs by Kayla and Timmy's wedding on July 14th, so that my dress fits even better than it does now! HOWEVER, if I don't lose 40 by then, I'll still be happy with my loss!

I love how quickly I'm approaching my 50 lbs goal! I'm going to keep working hard and not slack off (oh how my definition of slacking off has changed!) in the exercise department! I'm excited to keep moving forward!

Oh and one more thing. Initially, we were weighing on Saturdays. On My Fitness Pal, the week ends on Sunday, so we decided to move our weigh day to Sundays. I adjusted my future weigh-in dates on the right to Sundays. I also feel like it will motivate me to keep my sodium levels down and eat well on Saturdays, when it's easier to not care AS much.
